Join my 8 year old daughter as she stars in a six minute long documentary about Hadrian’s Wall. There seems to be a stong focus on the latrines.
Anna Kate Roman Army on Hadrian’s Wall from Tristan Fischer on Vimeo.
I watched Anna Kate’s video with my daughters, age 9 and 7, and we were all quite impressed with the quality of the video, the material, and particularly Anna Kate’s costume and delivery. My girls were especially taken with Anna Kate’s closing song, which they sang for some time after the video ended. Anyway, the video brought to life aspects of Roman culture and technology that I probably wouldn’t appreciate as much if I’d read it in a book. Well done, Anna Kate!
Many thanks – two teachers I know have now asked to use this video as part of their Roman history course materials! Maybe Anna Kate has a future as a documentary producer!
